ATTENTION! Please be aware I no longer post mixes on house-mixes. If you have happened to have recently discovered me or listened to me before, you can find me still posting mixes on soundcloud & mixcloud. Been spinning since 88 and after a 10yr absence I returned a few years back to start mixing again. Before my "retirement", I played at a number of clubs and had residencies at the "infamous" Legends in Old Burlington St and at the Emporium in Soho. I currently mix for fun, but if the right opportunity presented itself Imight be interested in playing out again. My style of mixing is (I like to think) smooth, Itry to take the listener on a rhythmical adventure / journey. I particularly enjoy creating something between the mixes (when possible!) rather than simply going from deck to deck, so if you find yourself; a) loving the tunes, b) having an irresistable urge to dance and c) then realise you haven`t got a clue which tune you`re listening to, then I`m doing my job. My musical style usually falls into 3 categories; deep, soulful or nu disco but always funky. Would love to hear your comments on my mixes, don`t be shy. Click "Follow" and i will send you a notification (only) when i post a new mix. Don`t worry i do not notify as to what i am eating or watching on tv ala Facebook. FELLOW DJ`S PLEASE SEE BELOW; Please accept my apologies for not listening to everyone`s mixes, due to work and family commitments, the little free time I have is usually spent on seeking out new tunes or working on new mixes. I am aware I don`t listen to enough mixes and am trying to make more time for this. HOWEVER, when I do listen to a mix, I will provide an HONEST, THOUGHTFUL appraisal and whenrequested will offer constructive advice. Ido not"COPY & PASTE" feedback. I appreciate what DJ`s can put into a mix and the least I can do is take time to offer feedback befitting the quality of themix. The level of excellence of mixes from my fellow (undiscovered) dj`s never ceases to amaze or inspire me. Keep em comin.

Dj Neonglass
Dj Neonglass

His Dj name comes from his profession; Neon crafter and tubular glassblower (one of the 14 in The Netherlands) & electric signmaker. He's a Dj of the 1st-generation. Dj Neonglass made his first steps in mixing on age 14 (1977),before that he was a "talking Dj" (compared with a "radio Dj'', as many Dj's where in that days) He was “working” with some friends every friday evening on a Drive-inn disco, called “Disco Skylab” in a youth centre called: “Openluchtschool” (O.L.S)”, in The Hague. They also had an illegal F.M Radio stations called “Skylab Radio, Skyline Radio,Tempo Radio”. Then he saw in a local disco called “De Marathon” the Dj mix two records together. Fortunately one of his friends knew more about mixing. He started mixing with 2 MARANTZ record players with pitch-control. Inspired by his discovery,he began to create customised pause button mixes on his big reeel taperecorder (later cassette) as he realised that certain records could be made more suitable for the dance floor, if they wen given a slight twist of extension. At the age of 16 he was asked to play at several Clubs as a guest Dj. Mixing was in that time very special and also all Clubs had "talking Dj's" in that time. One of his friends he “worked” in the Drive-inn Disco with is now known as Atlantic Ocean a.k.a Dj Lex van Coeverden (World Hit Single Waterfall & Waterfall 2009). In 1984 he stopped mixing, so he had time to found his own Neonsign- factory. After 24 years not being mixing and Dj-ing, he took some Mixing lessons in youthcentre “BAZART” also located on the grounds of the former O.L.S, the place where it in 1977 all began. When he’s started his Mixing lessons,he noticed that there was a lot of changed in the DJ equipment. He decided to quit mixing with vinyl and go for the new technological tools now like mixing with 2 CD players with pitchcontrol. Nowerday's he's a Resident Dj @ several radio stations.
